Route names describe how traffic enters the international network. None of the three path types has a universal priority outside its context; the key factors are the access network, target region, and task duration.

IEPL Dedicated Line

IEPL dedicated lines use a controlled international transmission path. Traffic first enters a designated access point, then reaches the exit region through a dedicated link, resulting in a more concentrated path structure than a typical public-internet connection. They suit extended video playback, remote meetings, sustained file transfers, development-environment synchronization, and tasks sensitive to connection fluctuations.

Dedicated-line resources generally cost more to schedule and maintain, so they are better reserved for critical tasks rather than used for every connection simply because the label says dedicated. When the target service is nearby, a closer relay route may be a better fit; when the local access network is unstable, changing the access method is often more effective than repeatedly changing the remote exit.

A relay route adds a managed intermediate access node between the user and the final exit. Direct-connection quality is more affected by local carrier networks, regional exits, and changes in public routing, so the route name alone cannot predict results. Start with a geographically nearby relay and keep the region unchanged throughout a complete session. Browsing tasks often open several sites at once, so traffic-splitting rules matter more than a route name alone. Send commonly used international sites through a stable exit while keeping local services on their existing network path to reduce unnecessary traffic. Video Streaming

For streaming, check the content licensing region first, followed by sustained transmission capacity. After choosing an exit in the content’s region, try an IEPL dedicated line or relay, and verify the platform homepage, content catalog, and playback in that order. Homepage access alone does not guarantee that the exit can retrieve the same catalog.

Avoid switching countries or cities frequently during playback. The platform may reassess the region, and an established playback session may be interrupted. Resolution is also affected by the local network, device decoding, and platform policies.
